On March 7th, 1845 our company is founded by Adolph Riensch. Since 1974 Alfred and Harald Justus as well as Edgar von Hobe have shaped change from an international trading house to a successful manufacturer of household filters. The partners Horst von Ludowig, Christian Justus and Per Jakob Justus represent today the management in the fourth generation. Progress is our tradition.

After our company’s first heyday with its trade in Latin America, since 1970 we have focused our activity on the worldwide growth market of household filters.

Whereas we once imported coffee, today we produce coffee filters. We developed a complete range of household filters for coffee, tea, oil, air and water.

We are a leading manufacturer of household filters for selected product segments in Europe.
We offer our filter and accessory range including tea and coffee under our own brands finum ® and teeli ® as well as also as trademark. Special filters for OEM device manufacturers are produced for original equipment and aftermarket. Our Clean Office ® brand includes ozone and fine dust filters for laser printers, copiers, PC’s as well as radiators.

The turtle, our firm’s trademark since around the year 1900, symbolizes quality and continuity.

Our attention centers on people as partners – customers, suppliers or employees. Our international spirit reflects the company’s tradition that is closely linked to Hamburg.
